Lush, Majestic Reverbs. Insane DSP Power.

The philosophy behind our blueSky Reverberator is simple—take a ridiculously powerful SHARC DSP and dedicate it to doing one thing only: producing the most lush, majestic and stunning reverbs ever. Many hours and sleepless nights in the Strymon sound design labs were devoted to developing the complex reverb algorithms found inside blueSky. We squeezed every last drop of processing power available.
blueSky Reverberator - Reverb Pedal

Prepare for Reverb Bliss.

Whether you’re a classic spring reverb fan or a studio rack aficionado, you’ll find your mojo here. blueSky provides three different reverb types, each with three modes, for a total of nine completely unique reverb experiences. blueSky even delivers an extremely versatile plate reverb, a rarity for a stompbox pedal. A full pre-delay and damping section provide deep reverb tone shaping. Add the mod and shimmer modes and you’re in store for unending reverb bliss. Couple that with 24-bit 96kHz converters and 115dB typical signal to noise, blueSky is equally at home on top of a studio console as it is in front of a tube amp.

Front Panel Controls

Strymon bluesky reverb pedal
  • Decay controls the decay time of the reverberated signal. Set low for small rooms, plates and short springs. Set high for huge arenas, massive plates and enormous springs.
  • Mode switches between 3 reverb modes (normal, mod, shimmer). Normal mode provides an unmodified version of the selected reverb type. Mod adds gorgeous modulation to the selected reverb type. Shimmer mode adds regenerative octave up pitch shifting “in the tank” for a reverb trail that rises into the clouds with a plate. For Spring and Room shimmer, an octave plus a fifth is regeneratively introduced.
  • Type switches between 3 different types of reverb (plate, room, spring). Plate gives you an intensely high quality vintage studio plate type reverb. Room type is a versatile room ranging in size from a bedroom to an arena. Spring provides an excellent recreation of the best vintage spring reverbs. TIP: Adjust LOW DAMP and HIGH DAMP controls with the spring type reverb to vary the color and age of your spring tank.
  • Mix controls the balance of your analog dry signal and your wet signal, from 100% dry at minimum to 100% wet at maximum. The mix occurs entirely in analog. 50/50 mix occurs when the Mix knob is set to 3:00. Hold Tap and Bypass simultaneously while turning the Mix knob to access the +/-3dB Boost/Cut feature. Achieve a plus or minus 3dB boost or cut when the pedal is engaged.
  • Low Damp controls the amount of low damping in the reverberated signal. Turn counter-clockwise to reduce the amount of low end in the reverb decay trail.
  • Pre-Delay controls the delay time before the reverberated signal appears. This is an essential control in creating an accurate and pleasing reverb.
  • High Damp controls the amount of high damping in the reverberated signal. Turn counter-clockwise to reduce the amount of high end in the reverb decay trail.
  • Press to select saved favorite sound. When FAVORITE LED is lit the favorite setting is engaged. When each knob is turned, the LED will indicate the saved favorite position of the knob. Push and hold the foot switch to save a new favorite sound.
  • Engages and disengages effect. Bypass mode is true bypass by default. LED on indicates that the effect is engaged. TIP: Hold the bypass footswitch during power up to change the bypass mode to analog bypass with trails (reverb persist).

The Blue Sky Reverberator is a gem—a toneshaping masterpiece.
Premier Guitar
Premier Guitar exquisitely designed, painstakingly constructed reverb box that can hold its own against some of the finest rack units. A spacious, shimmering five stars out of five for what I firmly believe to be the best reverb pedal on the market.
...blueSky can deliver genuine spacey tones - some entirely unique to the unit - as well as classic mechanical reverbs.
The real reason to buy the blueSky is because it goes way beyond what other reverb pedals can do...
...signal-to-noise is an impressive 115 dB, so these double as a studio option
