Using Strymon Update

With the Strymon Update 2.0 software installed on your computer, run the application with your powered device connected to your computer:

• For Strymon pedals or Eurorack modules with a USB port, it must be powered by a compatible power supply and connected to the computer via USB.
• For Conduit, connect the device to the computer via USB.  Do not connect an external power supply to Conduit when connected via USB.
• For BigSky, Mobius, and TimeLine, power these pedals with an external power supply and connect to the computer with a compatible MIDI interface such as a Strymon Conduit using the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT ports of the pedals.
  • In the GLOBLS menu of these pedals, set MIDI TH to ON or MERGE.

The Strymon Update 2.0 software will automatically detect the connected device and show you the currently installed firmware version along with the latest available version of the firmware for the connected device.

The box at the top right of the software will indicate the number of detected compatible products that are connected to the software.  Click this box to expand the menu and to select the desired product to use with Strymon Update 2.0.

1. If there is a newer version of the firmware available for the connected device, click the INSTALL UPDATE button to perform the update.
2. Once completed, the Installed Version will match the Available Version to show that your device is up to date.
3. Disconnect the device from your computer.
4. Your device is now ready for use.

BigSky, Mobius, and TimeLine

These pedals must be powered by an external power supply and must be connected using a dedicated MIDI interface such as a Strymon Conduit using their MIDI IN and MIDI OUT ports since they do not have a USB connection.  In the GLOBLS menu of these pedals, set MIDI TH to ON or MERGE for the pedals to communicate with the software.

Conduit

Remove any power connections to Conduit and connect the interface to your computer with the included USB-C cable via the USB-C jack.

Compadre, Riverside, and Sunset

These pedals have a micro-USB port located inside the chassis of the pedal that is accessible by removing the bottom plate.  Once the bottom plate is removed, the micro-USB port is found on the left side of the pedal.  You will need a micro-USB cable to connect your pedal to a USB port on a computer.

Brig, Cloudburst, blueSky v2, Deco v2, DIG v2, El Capistan v2, Flint v2, and Lex v2

Connect the powered pedal to your computer with a USB-C cable via the USB-C jack located on the back of the pedal.

Iridium, NightSky and Volante

Connect the powered pedal to your computer with the included USB-mini cable via the USB-mini jack located on the back of the pedal.

Magneto and StarLab Eurorack modules

Magneto has a USB-mini port located on the rear exposed circuit boards of the module.  Make sure to provide external power to Magneto while connecting the module to a computer using the included USB-mini cable to perform the update.
