The most powerful delay pedal ever.
TimeLine MX delivers stunning studio quality delays and a host of new professional features in an elegant and intuitive stage-ready design. Every sound is carefully tuned to react musically to your playing, and every control has been calibrated for an intuitive feel and response. From classic echoes dripping with vintage vibe to captivating and modern sounds that push the envelope, TimeLine MX is full of fresh inspiration.
TimeLine MX delivers an extraordinary combination of premium features in a single pedal.
TimeLine MX features new Oil Can, Spectral, Drum, Reverb and MultiTap engines in addition to significant enhancements to the other classic TimeLine delay machines.
Dual delays can be routed in Series, Parallel or Split modes, and individually panned per engine.
TimeLine MX features an integrated Stereo Looper with selectable multi or 1 Button Looper modes. The looper can be placed before or after the delay effects, and in 1 Button Mode it can be used on the fly without switching to Looper mode.
In addition to 11 delay engines, a stellar new reverb engine is included, allowing TimeLine MX to be your all-in-one delay plus reverb pedal.
Change presets and control parameters with MIDI via USB-C, TRS, or DIN connections. Access the looper controls (including reverse, redo and half speed) without entering Looper mode. Adjust controls via an expression pedal while you play. All this and more in an elegant and easy-to-use pedal.
All jacks are TRS stereo providing selectable I/O configurations for any professional setup, including stereo or mono effects send/return, wet/dry, and wet/dry/wet.
Timeline MX uses a high-performance tri-core 800 MHz ARM processor that delivers a staggering amount of computing power, all of which is fully dedicated to producing truly breathtaking delay (and reverb) sounds. That power means that every original behavioral quirk — from electro-mechanical variations to the analog circuits of classic digital technologies — was lovingly recreated.
TimeLine MX allows you to use two engines at once for powerful sound design, intricate rhythms, or combining delay and reverb in a single preset. You can switch between delay engines with a single button press while editing, and easily see the Series, Parallel or Split audio routing state clearly displayed onscreen. For a more interactive experience, you can dedicate a footswitch to control each engine’s on/off state if you desire.
This original take on a granular delay has a uniquely musical response with controls that yield intriguing and delightful results. Use it to slice your signal into fragments and then apply pitch, reverse, time stretch or filter effects to create a montage of glitchy patterns or fascinating panoramas. All this plus adjustable Grain Shape means you can easily create a vast range of fascinating textures.
Lose yourself in complex rhythms with per-tap control over pan, level, feedback, filter type and cutoff frequency. An easy-to-use and intuitive UI ensures that this eight-tap delay provides ear-catching results. Choose from a variety of built-in patterns or create your own. You can even configure MultiTap to provide eight parallel delay lines. Pair it with another delay type to lock in your rhythms in ways you might never have experienced before.
A luxurious new reverb engine provides everything from small rooms to expansive ambient soundscapes with beautiful long decays. This exceptionally smooth-sounding reverb also allows you to dial in Grit, to generate saturated and overdriven harmonics before and after the reverb tank. Taking inspiration from our Flint pedal, this reverb features optional tremolo on the wet signal with adjustable speed and depth.
To offer the most flexible audio routing possible, we’ve added a pan control to the output of each delay engine. Push individual algorithms off to the right so that you can hear the repeats even more distinctly in a Dual scenario, or push both machines farther to the sides to leave more space in the middle of the stereo field. It can be a powerful control when used creatively.
The original TimeLine included Swell and Duck as two separate delay machines. With TimeLine MX, Swell and Duck are now available for every delay engine. Swell applies a fade-in of the selected time to the repeats, providing a softer attack. Turn the Mix to full wet and turn up the repeats for ethereal ambient effects. Use Duck to keep delay repeats quieter while you’re playing, and then naturally fade up and get louder when you are not. Set the Duck amount and release time as desired.
All jacks are TRS stereo providing selectable I/O configurations for any professional setup, including stereo or mono effects send/return, wet/dry, and wet/dry/wet.
Immerse yourself in the legendary sound of classic sliding-head tape echo machines. You can shape your tone with control of Low End, Wow & Flutter, Tape Crinkle, and more. The new MX voice allows you to drive the tape harder by increasing the Record Level, while the Classic TimeLine voice delivers its own unique grit with control of the Tape Bias
Select dBUCKET for the authentic, detailed experience of classic analog bucket-brigade delays, long coveted for their warm repeats and pleasant signal degradation. Choose between the Classic TimeLine or all-new MX algorithm and shape your sound with lush, fully adjustable modulation.
Choose between multiple captivating rack delay voicings spanning the 1980s to today. 24/96 delivers a modern, clean delay with subtle dynamics processing, while ADM uses an early-80s adaptive delta modulation process for snappy, percussive repeats. 12 Bit applies a mid-80s conversion method for darker, warmer repeats, and Classic recreates the original TimeLine pedal’s digital sound, rounder and fatter while retaining its clarity. Enable Repeat Dynamics to let your repeats decay more rapidly with a natural feel.
The beloved mechanical inconsistencies of vintage drum echo units are all meticulously reproduced here, complete with their unique warble and soft-clip textures. Enable individual play heads and vary their spacing, level, feedback and panning to generate evolving patterns.
This vintage circuit’s recreation serves up darker, murkier, and less predictable results than other traditional echo types.
Its unique off-kilter repeats and syrupy modulations shift and morph over time, creating sustained atmospheric textures.
This intriguing delay offers an endless variety of MultiTap patterns perfect for both rhythmic and ambient uses, and everything in between.
Modify templates, patterns, note divisions, filtering and stereo panning for dimensional and trance-like results.
This granular delay slices your signal into fragments and applies pitch, reverse, time stretch or filter effects to create a montage of glitchy patterns or fascinating panoramas. Adjust Grain Shape for a vast range of textures.
This engine really rewards experimentation.
Play a phrase and hear it echo back in reverse. The reverse process is synced to both your playing and the tempo for a consistently repeatable reverse experience.
Slices and dices your input signal and plays the pieces back with a selectable interval shift that ranges between one octave down and two octaves up.
Creatively destruct your signal with bit crushing and sample rate reduction. Select from several hand-crafted filters including transistor radios, telephones, and more. Our exclusive dVINYL algorithm is also included for adding realistic vinyl effects.
Try controlling the sample rate with an expression pedal for interesting results.
Morphs your sound with synchronized tremolo and dynamic filtering, unlocking endless shape-shifting possibilities. Choose from several LFO waveshapes and tweak filter controls for speed, depth, Q, cutoff, and more.
A new and wide-ranging reverb engine capable of delivering everything from intimate spaces to larger-than-life sustained washes.
Inspired by our Flint pedal, it also offers Tremolo modulation on the wet signal for enhanced texture.
