Strymon Brigadier dBucket Delay Effect Pedal Now Available

Rich analog delay sounds, advanced DSP flexibility, and high-end audio quality, all in a compact stompbox.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, California— June 10, 2010 — Strymon® (www.strymon.net) recently introduced Brigadier™ dBucket™ Delay, a powerful DSP driven delay pedal that delivers all of the subtleties of an analog delay along with advanced DSP flexibility, and high-end audio quality, all in a compact stompbox.

“We’ve taken the huge amount of horsepower in a SHARC DSP and dedicated it to doing one thing only—delivering the best analog bucket brigade delay sound ever.” remarked Pete Celi, Strymon Engineer and Sound Designer. “Since we utilize every last drop of juice from this monster DSP, we can deliver every last subtlety and nuance that make an analog delay special. The result is an amazingly rich and complex analog sound with all of the flexibility and benefits of digital.”

Brigadier features a hand crafted, computationally intense dBucket delay algorithm for highly accurate reproduction of every stage of an analog bucket brigade chip and the associated clock driver circuitry.

Über-flexible delay shaping with dedicated bucket loss, repeats, modulation, time and mix controls are all available on the Brigadier front panel. Three delay time modes (short, medium, and long) and three tap tempo modes (quarter, dot, and triplet) allow exceptional delay flexibility.

Brigadier features super low noise, high performance 24-bit 96kHz A/D and D/A converters, and 115db typical signal-to-noise ratio. In addition to high-end audio specs, Brigadier provides an expression pedal input, stereo outputs, true bypass or analog buffered bypass, and an analog dry path for a zero latency dry signal that is never converted to digital.

Brigadier is designed and built in the USA and housed in a rugged, green anodized aluminum chassis.
